Digital Marketing Manager (Swiss Chalet)

The Digital Marketing Manager will champion the development and execution of Swiss Chalet’s Social Media, Digital Advertising, and PR strategy. The individual will be a critical part of the brand marketing team in re-defining and amplifying the brand’s digital voice in order to grow its digital presence across multiple online platforms and audiences.    The Digital Marketing Manager will develop, implement, track and optimize our digital advertising and social media campaigns with the goal of building brand awareness, engaging with fans, and driving sales conversions. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with internal and external creative and media agencies, while taking ownership of social media content planning, Guest responses and reporting, digital advertising campaign creation, SEO/SEM strategies and affiliate/influencer marketing.    Job Responsiilties    - Grow Social Media followings through acquisition strategies both on and offline - Develop Social Media content calendars (both organic and paid) while leading the development of the required assets to fuel this content (i.e. orchestrating photo and video shoots, identifying user generated content opportunities etc.) - Manage the online communities by actively posting engaging content and responding to fan content, monitoring engagement, promoting posts and managing escalations from the Guest Services team as required - Work alongside the team on brand promotional campaigns, identifying any native advertising, affiliate marketing or viral opportunities and creating social media and digital media campaigns that drive users to our restaurants - Establish relationships with key bloggers and online influencers, and assist with the coordination of PR campaigns with online media opportunities - Lead the planning, briefing, and development of paid social media and digital ad campaigns, through internal and external creative and media partners while managing a budget - Identify and monitor effective benchmarks for measurement of social media and digital ad efforts. - Analyze, review and report of effectiveness of organic and paid campaigns to maximize results and make recommendations for future campaigns. - Monitor social networks, including Google Reviews, for potential threats or opportunities in user-generated content, and work with the Guest Services team for additional social monitoring activities while addressing negative feedback and identifying positive opportunities - Leverage our existing partnerships and identify potential new partnerships and promotions to grow sales across our platforms - Educate the franchisee community on social/digital best practices, while auditing and approving any Franchisee-specific social accounts or digital activities - Support the marketing team on any special projects as required   Skills & Experience    -  University or college degree in business, marketing, communications or equivalent preferred - Demonstrated digital and interactive leadership experience - A minimum 3 years of experience in social media and email - A minimum 3 years of experience developing marketing or campaign plans with cross functional team environment experience - Understanding of Google Analytics and Google Adwords an asset - Results oriented and customer service focused  - Passion for social media, technology and the online space - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities to maximize productivity and achieve business goals  - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships across multiple brands and departments  - An influencer who can analyze raw data and turn it into meaningful and actionable insights to gain buy-in at all levels  - Exceptional project management, analytical and organizational skills - Curiosity and a drive to uncover the “why” and “so what?” - Ability to work well independently and as part of a dynamic team environment  - Ability to think and operate both strategically and tactically   What to expect   - Flexible/hybrid work environment     - 15% Travel required to capture content or visit on-site events/opportunities  - Working with a small but mighty team of creative and energetic go-getters - Frequent requirement to prioritize competing action items under tight timelines - Occasional unexpected work demands due to immediate opportunities, crisis management, changes to deadlines on short notice, and/or tight time pressures - A welcoming, fun and safe work environment founded on respect
