What you will do in this role: - Manage litigation across Canada in a wide variety of practise areas including franchising, employment and HR, leasing, construction, privacy and other complex commercial matters - Work cross functionally with external counsel on litigation strategy and managing litigations costs  - Assist the Franchising Department on franchise disclosure and agreements and provide advice on managing risk  - Draft and negotiate contracts including franchise agreements and ancillary agreements - Provide general corporate legal advice including drafting and negotiating agreements as well as drafting or editing corporate policies What we are looking for from you: - LLB or JD from an accredited law school and a member of a Canadian provincial bar in good standing - 2-5 years of litigation experience in a private practice setting or from a large corporation - Priority will be given to candidates with experience litigating franchise disputes - Ability to negotiate and draft minutes of settlement and releases - Excellent knowledge of litigation procedure and strategy - Ability to analyze complex commercial contracts with a view to problem solving - Exceptional negotiator and oral advocate  - Works well independently and as a part of a team environment - Great time management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple legal projects and high volume workloads with competing priorities What’s in it for you?: - You’d be joining a close-knit, innovative team of creative and energetic go-getters - You’d be a part of Canada’s largest full-service restaurant company that leads the industry in size and innovation  - 20% associate discount dining card and monthly dining allowance valid at participating Recipe brands - A welcoming, fun and safe work environment founded on respect - Industry-leading benefits, wellness programs, and total rewards programs Recipe is committed to providing a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.
